Since the war in Ukraine started, the price of maize has inreased hugely so it has become sincreasingly important for Tumaini to grow it’s own food. Funding was obtained some years ago to purchase some land for this purpose and it is now being put to good use. Reccently, £550 paid for ploughing, seed, sowing and fertilizer and £250 covered two sessions of weeding. The result is food for many meals like the one in the picture.
