We have a small and committed group of Trustees, most of whom have personally visited the projects we support.

Ian Marlow is the Managing Director of a tax and accounting business based in the City of London. He has also been involved in leadership in churches and charities over several decades and tries to visit Uganda with a team most years.

Hilary Marlow has a PhD in Biblical Studies and is a Fellow of Girton College Cambridge. Her main interests are in the interface of environmental concern and Biblical Studies and she is very involved in postgraduate training.

Catherine Whitehead was a social worker in Exeter before she retired. She has been out to Uganda with Kuanzia many times and says she ‘enjoyed all that we’ve been able to share in’.
In her active retirement she has been a trustee of The Association of Christian Counselling and a spiritual director as well as leader of a church in Exeter. She also spends time with her new adopted cat Mario.

Ian Bainbridge was also a social worker before working for the Social Work Inspectorate and, more recently, being the Head of Social and Medical Services in the Falkland Islands.

James Grist is a physicist working in Magnetic Resonance Imaging, with a background in Medical Physics, a PhD in neuroradiology, and a keen interest in being able to image biology! James has been to Uganda many times to visit Kuanzia projects.

Kevin Pike is an IT specialist having worked within and managed IT in the private and public sector in Devon for most of his career. Kevin manages the Kuanzia website.
